Vintage 10″ x 8″ autographed photo of deceased former boxer/boxing manager, Howie Steindler. He  ran the Main Street Gym where many star athletes trained there, from Sugar Ray Robinson to Cassius Clay. Howie, a small guy with a short temper but a big heart, managed the place and developed fighters who fought at the Olympic. He also managed boxers, including Danny “Little Red” Lopez. On March 9, 1977, Howie’s body was found in his Cadillac on the Ventura Freeway in Studio City, beaten and smothered to death. Many theories as to who killed him and why have been investigated, but the case is still unsolved. Howie was a very important part of the boxing world.  Very good condition with some minor sporadic creasing.
